What toys were popular during the Stanhope Schoolhouse era and beyond? It doesn't take batteries, video games or electronic wizardry to have fun. Come learn and play with some of the toys which were popular from 50 - 200 years ago.

From Fleece to Fiber

Have you ever wondered how clothes were made before stores? Come learn how a sheep's fleece made its way into cloth, in the past. Help brush fleece to prepare it for spinning. Try some spinning on a drop spindle then weave on a simple loom.

Blacksmiths - Historical and Modern

Learn a brief history of blacksmithing, how the blacksmith is relevant both historically and in a modern world, and see the tooling of the trade from an Artist-Blacksmith from Bucks County and a member of ABANA, PABA, and the PA Guild of Craftsmen. Come see a “cold” demonstration!
