Basement Restoration
Work is needed to brace some areas underneath the floor and install stairs to the basement. You supply the labor and we supply the materials.
Bell Installation
We need a group to either install the bell inside the classroom or build an exterior brick structure to house the bell
Docent
We are looking for retired teachers or individuals interested in teaching others about history to become docents to youth and adults as needed.
Exterior Restoration
Exterior screens need to be restored, windows reglazed, and masonry work is needed. This can be an individual or group project. You supply the labor and we supply materials!
Fundraising Coordinator
Coordinate fundraising events throughout the year.
General Volunteer

Grant Writer
Seeking experienced grant writer to assist with locating and applying for available grants.
Historical Research
Help collect and organize information about life in the Stanhope area and the Stanhope Schoolhouse between 1876 and 1952.
Landscaping Project
Brush needs to be cleared, plants need to be planted, and decorative stone needs to be added around the building by an individual or group.
Photographer/
Videographer
Skills with video production and editing are needed to document alumni oral history and educational events, and for promotional purposes. Photos of events are also needed.
Program Coordinator
Coordinate all aspects of the public program for May, July and September.
Public Relations
Individuals needed to spread the word by identifying sources and coordination of public information for the Stanhope programs and events.
Silk Screener
Seeking an individual to silk screen t-shirts and sweatshirts. You supply the equipment and we supply the merchandise and designs for them.
Woodworking
Project
A wooden replica of the outhouse that students used when the school was open is needed on that foundation and stairs to the basement need to be built.
Writer
Looking for individuals with good skills with Microsoft Word to organize information for future publications.
